Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp harissa
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 or 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • Olive oil to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Water if necessary
  • Coriander to taste

Optional toppings:

  • Poppy seeds
  • Olive oil
  • Coriander

Instructions

  • Start by rinsing the chickpeas very well.
  • Place them in a blender or in a food processor and add the garlic, the paprika, the cumin, the harissa and the lime and blend.
  • Scrape all the edges and add the tahini, the olive oil, the salt and pepper and the coriander and blend again.
  • Scrape the edges and blend until you get a smooth paste. If necessary, add cold water to make it smoother.
  • Top it with olive oil, poppy seeds and coriander and serve with bread or crackers.
