  • 1 tbsp baking powder

For the chocolate cake

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup raw cacao powder

For the sauce

  • 1 bar chocolate 70% cacau

Instructions

For the plain cake

  • Start by preheating the oven to 180º.
  • Grease the pan that you will use for the cake.
  • Put the flour in a bowl, along with the sugar, and mix well.
  • Add the yogurt and fold it into the previous mixture.
  • Add the eggs and coconut oil and mix.
  • Finally, add the baking powder and gently incorporate it into the cake batter.
  • Pour the batter into the pan and set aside.

For the chocolate cake

  • Put the flour in a bowl, along with the sugar, and mix well.
  • Add the cocoa and mix again.
  • Add the yogurt and fold it into the previous mixture.
  • Add the eggs and coconut oil and mix.
  • Finally, add the baking powder and gently incorporate it into the cake batter.
  • Pour the batter into the pan that already has the plain cake batter.
  • Dip a spatula or spoon in several spots on the cake, so that the batter mixes and the "marble" effect of the cake is formed.
  • Put the cake in the oven for about 35 to 40 min or until it is cooked.
  • Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool, unmold it, and set aside.

For the sauce

  • Melt the chocolate bar in a bain-marie (i.e., hot water bath) and pour over the cake.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Suggestion: Use your imagination to make the marble cake.
Make one orange and one carob batter. Or one with lemon and another with cinnamon. In short, the sky is the limit!
And to finish, congratulations to Alida's Food! To these 2 wonderful years and may there be many more to come!
