Today is a special day, it’s the 2nd anniversary of Alida’s Food and I am so happy! To celebrate this day, I could not fail to bring you a good treat, the Marble Cake Recipe that I LOVE!
I’ve been meaning to make this recipe for a long time because it’s one of the cakes that reminds me the most of my childhood…
When I was younger (a little girl really!), I used to go to my cousin’s house a lot and one of the things that made us happiest was when my cousin’s mother brought us that wonderful marble cake!
It was purchased, it’s true, but that moment for us was magical, I can’t explain it! And we liked it so much that every time I went there, it was marble cake day! ahah
These moments stayed in my memory, such was the happiness!
It’s funny that the shape of the cake was a half circle. And because it had that shape we said it was the half-moon cake.
Ahhh the beauty of being a child… It’s good to remember!
And since today is a special day (I can’t believe that Alida’s Food is already 2 years old! 2 years old people!), it was inevitable that I made a special cake.
A cake that reminds me of good things and happy moments.
Considering we can’t all celebrate together, for obvious reasons, let’s celebrate like this. At a distance, but with the taste of a delicious and easy-to-make cake.
Here you have another recipe for a cake I love! Lemon Cake with Poppy Seeds Recipe.
HOW DO YOU MAKE THIS MARBLE CAKE RECIPE?
Basically to make the marble cake you need to make two portions of cake batter, one plain and one chocolate.
To make it easier, you can make just one portion of plain batter, doubling the amount. Then just divide the batter and in one of the portions put the chocolate.
In this case, I made the yogurt cake batter because it is the cake I usually make. But as I said above, it can be made with a plain cake batter.
The important thing is that it is a cake batter that you like and preferably one that is not too much work.
Once you have the cake batter ready, just grease a baking pan and put the plain cake batter in the pan.
On top of it place the chocolate batter and two layers will form.
To get the marble cake effect, just dip a spatula or a spoon in several points of the cake, so that the masses mix.
If you want a more obvious marble cake effect, dip the spatula or the spoon and make circular movements from one end of the cake pan to the other.
And there you go, just pop it in the pan and let the magic happen!
