Are you wondering why did I put tumeric in it? Don't be scared! The tumeric will help the color become more yellowish and gives a boost of flavor, without being too much. For me it makes all the difference!

How do you make this Mango and Tumeric Ice Cream?

There's nothing to know, it's quite easy. But for best results, you really need to follow the instructions.

Don't forget to freeze the mango the day before if you use fresh mango. In this case I bought frozen mango.

Also strain the yogurt the night before. This process is really just to make your ice cream cream creamier.

For this recipe you'll need:

  • Frozen mango
  • Natural skyr or greek yogurt
  • Tumeric
  • Salt
  • Maple Syrup
  • Ice cream waffle cones
  • 72% chocolate
  • Fresh diced mango (optional)

What are the tricks to getting this Mango and Tumeric Ice Cream right?

  1. Use frozen mango, it's essential to get the desired consistency.
  2. The process of straining the yogurt is also essential to make the ice cream creamier.
  3. Tumeric gives a more yellowish color.
  4. Generally, I always use a pinch of salt in sweet recipes to accentuate the flavor a little more, but in a balanced way.
  5. The melted chocolate in the ice cream waffle cones is not essential, but besides looking visually more appealing, it adds more texture and a great contrast of flavors.
